July 28, 1981
The meeting was called to order at 7:15 P. M. by Rae Brandt, Pre-
sident.
A motion was made by Irene McDavid to install Bill Bishop as a
voting Park Board member, seconded by Melvin Cooper. Motion car-
ried.
A motion was made to install Elsie Brown and Stan Jernigan as
advisory director's by Melvin Cooper, seconded by Trene McDavid.
Motion carried.
New appointments to be approved by City Council.
A lengthy discussion was held on filling in the swamp area in
the park.
A pavilion for the park is to be discussed at the next meeting.
As of July 28, 1981 the Park Board members are:
Rae Brandt - President
Melvin Cooper - member
Irene McDavid member
Margie Lowery - member
Frankie Keeton - acting secretary
Melvin Cooper made a motion to have lights installed in the Park,
seconded by Irene McDavid. Motion carried.
Melvin Cooper made a motion for Rae Brandt to assist Mr. & Mrs.
Yeakley and to assume the directorship of the Community Center
since Mr. Yeakley cannot devote the time required of the position.
Mrs. Rae Brandt will be donating to the City Park a pair of white
swans and a pair of black swans sometime in the fall.
Melvin Cooper made a motion to adjourn.
