June 20, 1980
The Kennedale Ambulance Board convened at 12:00 noon, June
20, 1980 in the Community Center for a scheduled meeting.
Present at the meeting were Dr. William Harris, Chairman,
James Smith Board Member, Steve Radakovich Council Member
and Mel Justice Staff member.
The minutes of the April 11, 1980 meeting were accepted as
presented.
After a discussion of the difficulty some Board members
encounter in attending meetings it was the consensus of the
Board that the feasibility of scheduling meetings in the
mornings be explored. Decision on rescheduling will be
made at a later date.
Mayor Radakovich advised the Board that Bob Platt had been
assigned as a new Board member and would be attending meetings
in the future.
It was the consensus of the Board that upon receipt of the
radio for the 1974 ambulance an outside antenna be installed
to improve reception. Mel Justice was instructed to coordinate
this.
It was the consensus of the Board, upon recommendation of
Board member Smith, that the following items be purchased
for the 1974 ambulance:
1 Scoop Stretcher
1 set of Air Splints
1 Ambulance Bag
James Smith is to make purchases.
The Board discussed making visits in City neighborhoods during
Saturdays to increase the membership in the Ambulance Service.
Details on this item well be worked out in the near future.
The Board discussed the printing of membership cards for all
Citizens who join the ambulance service and a design needs to
be made and these cards printed.
Meeting adjourned at 1 :20 p.m.
