04.17.1986 PZ MinutesPage 205 Minutes of Regular Meeting Planning and Zoning Commission April 17, 1986,'-•` Bill Cromer called the meeting to order at 7:29 p.m. Members present were Glynn Cavasos, Pat Turner, Walter Billingsley, Bill Cromer and Joe Moniz. Mike McCarty and John Gregory were absent. Staff in attendance were Ted Rowe, Danny Thomas and Linda Jones. The minutes of the March 20, 1986 meeting were approved as submitted. Mr. William Granberg of Union Plastics, Inc. requested permission to locate a temporary modular office building at 837 North Trent Street. Mr. Granberg explained that the 28' X 60' structure would be needed approximately one year until expansion plans for the total facility are detailed and evaluated. Motion was made by Pat Turner, seconded by Joe Moniz, to approve the modular office building to be placed on subject property with the stipulation that it be considered again in one year. Motion carried. II. Mr. H. M. Cory of Bible Baptist Church requested a building permit at 209 West 3rd Street for an additional 7,500 square feet of area. Motion was made by Joe Moniz, seconded by Walter Billingsley, to deny the permit until a replat has been completed and detail park- ing plans have been submitted. Motion carried with none opposed. III. Mr. Bill Taylor of the Robbins Companies requested a building permit at 1002:Mansfield Cardinal Road to erect a 30,000 square foot tilt wall structure for Chase Elastomer Corporation. Mr. Taylor stated that sewer is not available, but Levitt Engineers is in the process of aquiring easements for the layout. An approved fire protection system has to be furnished to the city before a Certificate of Occupancy can be issued. Motion was made by Pat Turner, seconded by Glynn Cavasos, to approve the request based on the proper and adequate plans be presented before the building permit is issued. Robbins Company requested a• building permit to erect a 5,100 square foot metal structure at 735 West Mansfield Highway. Mr. Taylor informed the Commission that the building will be used for a wholesale, retail bearing operation. Motion was made by Pat Turner, seconded by Walter Billingsley, to approve the building permit. Motion carried without opposition. V. The Coi«uission and Council decided to hold a work session at a later date. Topics for discussion are to be submitted to Ted Rowe prior to the work session. There being no further business, motion was made by Pat Turner, seconded by Walter Billingsley, to adjourn the meeting. Motion carried.
