Bill Cromer, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Members present: Glynn Cavasos, Bill Reynolds, Walter Billingsley,
Bill Cromer, Mike Smith, Mike McCarty.
Members absent: Danny Taylor
Staff Present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones
I. Building Permits
a. Pate Jones requested a building permit to erect a 40' x 30'
tilt slab building at 812 Trent Street for commercial purposes.
Motion was made by Mike Smith, seconded by Walter Billingsley,
to approve the building permit contingent upon delinquent taxes
being paid up to date or satisfactory arrangements made for tax
payments. Motion carried with none opposed.
b. Mr. E. T. Pernell requested a building permit for a 4,800
square foot metal building on Lot 24, Block 1, Woodlea Acres
Addition. Mr. Pernell said that 85' x 50' would be paved with
asphalt for parking. Mr. Pernell agreed to dress up the front
of the building.
Motion was made by Bill Reynolds, seconded by Mike Smith to
approve the building permit with the stipulation that the trailer
be disposed of after the structure is completed and the front
of the building be dressed up. Motion carried with none opposed.
c. Mr. Truman Blair requested two building permits for two
40' x 100' buildings on Lot 9, Block 11, Oakcrest Addition.
Also, Mr. Blair requested the Board to authorize the staff
to approve permits for three other buildings of the same type
using the same plans for a later building date.
Motion was made by Walter Billingsley, seconded by Mike Smith
to approve the building permits and permission for the staff
to approve future building plans of the same type. Motion
carried with none opposed.
II. Replats
a. Mr. Fred Smith requested a replat from Lots 32A, 32D1, and
32D2, C. A. Boaz Subdivision to Lot 32R to encompass all property
into one lot.
Motion was made by Walter Billingsley, seconded by Glynn Cavasos
to accept the replat and recommendation for final approval forwarded
to City Council. Motion carried with none opposed.
b. Mr. D. T. Lyon requested the Board to approve the corrected plat
of property descriptions involving Lots 12 thru 17, Block 1, and
Lots 11 thru 15, Block 2, Glenn Oaks Addition.

Motion was made by Bill Reynolds, seconded by Walter
Billingsley, to accept the corrected plat and forward
it to City Council recommending final approval.
III. Miscellaneous
a. Mrs. Lora Dell Moore requested permission to move a house
onto property at 309 Collett Road, with the City to furnish
requirements for installation of an adequate septic system.
Motion was made by Glynn Cavasos, seconded by Walter
Billingsley, to grant permission on the moving of the house
and to issue a building permit. Motion carried with none
opposed.
b. Mr. William Honea addressed the Board to discuss the
modular homes that he wishes to place on Lots 9A and 9B
of the Carol Heights Addition. Mr. Honea presented pictures
and plans of the modular homes.
Motion was made by Mike McCarty, seconded by Mike Smith, to
rewrite in the ordinance a classification to include the
modular homes. Motion carried with none opposed.
There being no further business, motion was made by Glynn Cavasos,
seconded by Walter Billingsley, that the meeting adjourn. Motion
carried with none opposed.
