Minutes of
PUBLIC HEARING
October 3, 1983
Bill Cromer, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
Members present: Glynn Cavasos, Bill Reynolds, Walter Billingsley,
Bill Cromer and Mike McCarty.
Members absent: Mike Smith and Danny Taylor.
Staff present: Linda Jones
I. Variance Request
a. Mr. J. W. Teague, Superintendent of Kennedale ISD,
requested a 10 foot building line in lieu of the 30 foot building
line requirement for an 18 classroom addition to the James A.
Arthur Elementary School located at Mistletoe and Crestview
Drives.
Gary Cooper, property owner within 200 feet, had no objections
to the building setting that close to the street.
Motion was made by Glynn Cavasos, seconded by Walter Billingsley,
that the Public Hearing adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed.
Meeting adjourned at 7:14 p. m.

Bill Cromer, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:15 p.m.
Members present: Glynn Cavasos, Bill Reynolds, Walter Billingsley,
Bill Cromer and Mike McCarty.
Members absent: Mike Smith and Danny Taylor.
Staff present: Linda Jones
I. Variance Request
a. Mr. J. W. Teague, Superintendent of Kennedale ISD,
requested a 10 foot building line in lieu of the 30 foot building
line requirement for an 18 classroom addition to the James A.
Arthur Elementary School located at Mistletoe and Crestview
Drives.
Motion was made by Bill Reynolds, seconded by Mike McCarty,
to issue the building permit with the stipulation that a guard
rail be placed in front of the school along the street and re-
duce the canopy. Motion carried with none opposed.
II. Building Permits
a. Mr. C. E. Batchelor requested a building permit for
a 40' x 60' metal structure on part of Lot 28A1, Block 1,
Woodlea Acres Addition. Subject building is to be located
at 109 Industrial Court, in an "G" Industrial zoning.
Motion Was made by Walter Billingsley, seconded by Glynn Cavasos
to accept the building plans and issue the permit. Motion
carried with none opposed.
III. Miscellaneous
a. Mr. Bill Honea requested the opinion of
two modular homes for himself and his daughter
on property located on North Road.
Bill Cromer asked Mr. Honea to submit plans on
homes at the next Board meeting.
