November 15, 1982
Bill Cromer, Vice Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Members present: Glynn Cavasos, Walter Billingsley, Bill Cromer,
and Robert Brown.
Members absent: Mike Smith.
Staff present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones.
I. Building Permits
a. J. B. Thompson of Rebar Services and Supply Company -
1401 Gilman Road, Tract 17P1, David Strickland Survey, Abstract
1376, requested a building permit to erect a 9' x 11' wood
frame building and 400 square feet of concrete pads.
Mr. Justice stated the soil percolation test did not pass
Tarrant County Health Department requirement, but the Health
Department granted a permit for Conditional Approval of a
private sewage disposal system, holding tank type.
Motion was made by Robert'Brown, seconded by Walter Billingsley,
to grant the building permit to Mr. Thompson. Motion carried
with none opposed.
II. Replatting
a. Nettie Cassidy - Lots 3 and 4, Block 40, Town of Kennedale,
requested replatting of subject property for the purpose of
building a single family residence with 1,250 square feet.
Motion was made by Walter Billingsley, seconded by Robert Brown,
to accept subject replat and recommendation of approval be
forwarded to the Council. Motion carried with none opposed.
III.. Variance Requests
a. Gary Cooper - Spring Branch Addition requested a variance
on the rear yard building setback from 25 feet to 15 feet, with
the intention to build three bedroom, two bath units with
1,150 to 1,200 square feet. Gary Cooper stated that this
variance is for Phase I only.
Mr.-- Justice stated a proposed ordinance change on rear yard sizes
will only effect the A -1 zoning.
Motion was made by Glynn Cavasos, seconded by Robert Brown, to
.grant the variance on Phase I of Spring Branch Addition and
recommend for Council approval. Motion carried with none opposed.
IV. Miscellaneous
a. D. T. Lyon requested a six month extension of time to
submit final plat on proposed Murray Hill Estates subdivision.
Motion was made by Robert Brown, seconded by Walter Billingsley,
to grant the six month extension for the proposed Murray Hill
Estates subdivision unitl July 16, 1983. Motion carried with
none opposed.

V. Board Members
a. Mel Justice informed the Board of a man wanting to
sell frozen shrimp out of a truck. The ordinance requires
restroom facilities. The man would be using the restroom
facilities at P & R Express Mart located on West Mansfield
Highway. Mr. Justice stated he should put up a $1000.00
bond and a $5.00 business license. The Board stated they
were not ready to make a decision on this item and would
like to make a further study.
There being no further business, motion was made by Robert
Brown, seconded by Walter Billingsley, that the meeting adjourn.
Motion carried with none opposed.
