Mr. Morris, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m.
Members present: R. E. Flowers, Walter Billingsley, Raymond
Morris, Bill Cromer and Robert Brown.
Staff present:. Mel Justice and Linda Jones
I. Zoning Change Requests
a. Bill Millhouser and Kenneth Brimer - David Strickland
Survey, Abst. 1376 requested annexation and zoning change from
"A" One Family to "G" Industrial for the purpose of building a
printing plant and office building.
George H. Case, property owner of Tracts 13D, 13A7, 13A8, and
13C- (outside city limits), David Strickland Survey inquired as
to rezoning his property from "A" One Family to "G" Industrial.
The Board stated it would be necessary to ask for petition to
annex Tract 13C before rezoning could be considered.
There were no other property owners within 200 feet of subject
property who spoke for or against the zoning change request
and annexation.
Motion was made by R. E. Flowers, seconded by Walter Billingsley,
that the Public Hearing adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed. ,
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.

Regular Meeting Planning and Zoning Board
June 3, 1982
Mr. Morris, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:45 p.m.
Members present: R. E. Flowers, Walter Billingsley, Raymond
Morris, Bill Cromer and Robert Brown.
Staff present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones.
I. Old Business
a. Mike Smith - 133 East Mansfield Highway, to receive the
Board's decision on a variance for a snow cone stand on subject
property. Mike Smith asked that the period of time for the
variance be from June 5, 1982 thru September 30, 1982.
Motion was made by Robert Brown, seconded by Bill Cromer,
that the variance be issued for the snow cone stand with the
understanding that the temporary building be removed within
seven (7) to ten (10) days after September 30, 1982. Motion
carried with none opposed.
II. Zoning Change Requests
a. Bill Millhouser and Kenneth Brimer - David Strickland
Survey, Abst. 1376 requested annexation and zoning change
from "A" One Family to "G" Industrial for the purpose of
building a printing plant and office building. Subject prop-
erty was replatted into Lot 1, Block 1, and Lot 1, Block 2,
A and A Addition.
Motion was made by Bill Cromer, seconded by Walter Billingsley
to accept the preliminary plat, rezoning from A to G and
annexation on subject property and approval of acceptances
be recommended to the City Council. Motion carried with none
opposed.
III. Board Members
a. Mr. Justice informed the Board of drainage problems
on New Hope Road near the Pine Meadow Addition and on Industrial
Court. After lengthy discussion, it was decided to make an
in -depth study of this situation and consider drainage problems
more closely in the future.
b. Mr. Justice informed the Board of a substandard house
and business owned by Charles E. Posey located at 225 West
Mansfield Highway. Several inquirieshave been made from people
wanting to rent the subject property.

The Board decided the property could not be rented until
the buildings were completely brought up to standards.
Motion was made by R. E. Flowers, seconded by Robert Brown,
that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed.
Meeting adjourned at 9:05 p. m.
