SPECIAL MEETING PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD
November 29, 1982
Bill Cromer, Vice Chairman, called the meeting to order at
7:15 p.m.
Members present:: Glynn Cavasos, Walter Billingsley, Bill
Cromer and Robert Brown.
Members absent: Mike Smith.
Staff present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones..
I. Gary Cooper - Spring Branch Addition requested a change
in zoning ordinance for reduction of backyard requirements
in "A -1" Attached Housing from 25 feet to 15 feet.
Robert Brown asked about other cities changing to smaller
backyards. Mr. Cooper stated yes, they are ranging from
5 feet to 15 feet. The market for homes doesn't call for
large yards; most of the lots in Spring Branch Addition
will have more than 15 feet in backyards.
Mel Justice stated the zoning change will effect the entire
"A -1" Attached Housing zoning.
Motion was made by Robert Brown, seconded by Glynn Cavasos,
to accept the ordinance change in backyard requirements
from 25 feet to 15 feet in Spring Branch Addition, "A -1"
Attached Housing and recommendation be forwarded to City
Council for final approval. Motion carried with none opposed.
There being no further business, motion was made by Walter
Billingsley, seconded by Glynn Cavasos, that the meeting
adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed.
