11.29.1982 PZ MinutesMinutes of PUBLIC HEARING November 29, 1982 Bill Cromer, Vice Chairman, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p. m. Members present : Glynn Cavasos, Walter Billingsley, Bill Cromer and Robert Brown. Members absent:: Mike Smith. Staff present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones. I. Gary Cooper - Spring Branch Addition requested a change in zoning ordinance for reduction of backyard requirements in "A -1" Attached Housing from 25 feet to 15 feet. There were no property owners within 200 feet of subject property who spoke for or against the ordinance change for reduction of backyard requirements in the "A -1" Attached Housing zoning. Motion was made by Robert Brown, seconded by Walter Billingsley, that the Public Hearing adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed. Meeting adjourned at 7:05 p. m. Members absent: Mike Smith. Staff present: Mel Justice and Linda Jones.. I. Gary Cooper - Spring Branch Addition requested a change in zoning ordinance for reduction of backyard requirements in "A -1" Attached Housing from 25 feet to 15 feet. Robert Brown asked about other cities changing to smaller backyards. Mr. Cooper stated yes, they are ranging from 5 feet to 15 feet. The market for homes doesn't call for large yards; most of the lots in Spring Branch Addition will have more than 15 feet in backyards. Mel Justice stated the zoning change will effect the entire "A -1" Attached Housing zoning. Motion was made by Robert Brown, seconded by Glynn Cavasos, to accept the ordinance change in backyard requirements from 25 feet to 15 feet in Spring Branch Addition, "A -1" Attached Housing and recommendation be forwarded to City Council for final approval. Motion carried with none opposed. There being no further business, motion was made by Walter Billingsley, seconded by Glynn Cavasos, that the meeting adjourn. Motion carried with none opposed.
