CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL
A. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet in closed session pursuant to Section 551.071
of the Texas Government Code for consultation with the City Attorney pertaining to any matter
in which the duty of the City Attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional
Conduct may conflict with the Open Meetings Act, including discussion of any item posted on
the agenda and legal issues regarding amortization of nonconforming uses, litigation,
settlement offers, and/or claims.
B. RECONVENE INTO CHAMBERS
Reconvene into chambers for regular session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in
Executive Session.
C. PUBLIC HEARING
1) Case #PZ 05-19 to receive citizen’s comments regarding a request for rezoning of Tract
3D01 being 1.622 acres of land situated in the Jesse B Renfro Survey, Abstract 1260 as
described in a deed recorded in Volume 7356, Page 1721 of the Deeds of Records of
Tarrant County and Tract 3D being 6.375 acres of land situated in the Jesse B Renfro
Survey, Abstract 1260 as described in a deed recorded in Volume 1805, Page 13 of the
Deed of Records of Tarrant County, being in the City of Kennedale, Tarrant County, Texas.
The property is located at 337 Kennedale Sublett Road. The zoning at the present time is
“AG” (Agricultural) and is proposed to rezone to “R-3” (Single Family Residential), as
requested by Dietz Engineering.
D. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM
At this time, any person with business before the Planning and Zoning Commission not
scheduled on the Agenda may speak to the Commission, provided that a “Speaker’s Request
Form” has been completed and submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission Secretary
prior to the start of the meeting. All comments must be directed towards the Chairman, rather
than individual P & Z members of staff. All speakers must limit their comments to the subject
matter as listed on the “Speaker’s Request Form.” No formal action can be taken on these
items.
E. REGULAR ITEMS
1) Approval of minutes: Regular Planning and Zoning Commission meeting and Capital
Improvements Advisory Committee dated August 18, 2005.
