CALL TO ORDER
ROLL CALL
A. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet in closed session pursuant to Section 551.071
of the Texas Government Code for consultation with the City Attorney pertaining to any matter
in which the duty of the City Attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional
Conduct may conflict with the Open Meetings Act, including discussion of any item posted on
the agenda and legal issues regarding amortization of nonconforming uses, litigation,
settlement offers, and/or claims.
B. RECONVENE INTO CHAMBERS
Reconvene into chambers for regular session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in
Executive Session.
C. PUBLIC HEARING
1) Case #PZ 05-16 to receive citizen’s comments regarding a request for rezoning of Block
Lot 36A1 of the C.A. Boaz Sub-division of J B Renfro in the City of Kennedale, Tarrant
County, Texas. The property is located at 100 E. Broadway Street. The zoning at the
present time is “C-2” (General Commercial) and is proposed to rezone to “C-1” (Restricted
Commercial), as requested by Jeffery Lynn Quick.
2) Case #PZ 05-15 to receive citizen’s comments regarding a request for a Conditional Use
Permit for a Large Retail Facility (Wal-Mart) for the parking lot area located in Kennedale,
TX located at US 287 and Little School Road. The legal description is a 9.856 acre tract of
land situated in the M.P. Lamar Survey, Abstract 987 in the City of Kennedale, Tarrant
County, Texas as requested by Tom Galbreath.
D. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM
At this time, any person with business before the Planning and Zoning Commission not
scheduled on the Agenda may speak to the Commission, provided that a “Speaker’s Request
Form” has been completed and submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission Secretary
prior to the start of the meeting. All comments must be directed towards the Chairman, rather
than individual P & Z members of staff. All speakers must limit their comments to the subject
matter as listed on the “Speaker’s Request Form.” No formal action can be taken on these
items.
E. REGULAR ITEMS
1) Approval of minutes: regular meeting dated June 16, 2005.
2) Case #PZ 05-16 to consider approval of a request for rezoning of Block Lot 36A1 of the

description being Abstract 74, Tract 2B of the Thomas Beedy Survey in the City of
Kennedale, Tarrant County, Texas. This sub-division will have 19 lots and is zoned R-2
(Single Family Residential). The property is located at 1075 N Little School Road as
requested by Jeff Herron.
F. WORK SESSION
1) To discuss possible revisions to the Zoning Ordinance
2) To discuss Sub-division Rules
3) To discuss required Yard Setbacks for Residential Zoning Categories
4) To discuss builder advertising
