CALL TO ORDER

A. EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Planning and Zoning Commission will meet in closed session pursuant to Section 551.071
of the Texas Government Code for consultation with the City Attorney pertaining to any matter
in which the duty of the City Attorney under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional
Conduct may conflict with the Open Meetings Act, including discussion of any item posted on
the agenda and legal issues regarding amortization of nonconforming uses, litigation,
settlement offers, and/or claims.
B. RECONVENE INTO CHAMBERS
Reconvene into chambers for regular session and consider action, if any, on items discussed in
Executive Session.
C. PUBLIC HEARING
1) To receive citizen’s comments regarding amendments to the City’s Subdivision
Regulations. An ordinance of the City of Kennedale, Texas amending Article V,
“Subdivision Regulations”, of Chapter 17, of the Kennedale City Code (1991), as amended,
by providing requirements for the construction of public improvements and providing for the
execution of a developer agreement in connection therewith; providing that this ordinance
shall be cumulative of all ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty
for violations hereof; providing a savings clause; providing for publication in the official
newspaper; and providing an effective date.
2) To receive citizen’s comments regarding an amendment to the City’s regulations regarding
Subdivision Sign Ordinance. An ordinance of the City of Kennedale, Texas amending
Chapter 17, Article VII, of the Kennedale City Code (1991), as amended, by providing for
the erection of subdivision signs; providing that this ordinance shall be cumulative of all
ordinances; providing a severability clause; providing a penalty for violations hereof;
providing a savings clause; providing for publication in the official newspaper; and
providing an effective date.
D. VISITORS/CITIZENS FORUM
At this time, any person with business before the Planning and Zoning Commission not
scheduled on the Agenda may speak to the Commission, provided that a “Speaker’s Request
Form” has been completed and submitted to the Planning and Zoning Commission Secretary
prior to the start of the meeting. All comments must be directed towards the Chairman, rather
than individual P & Z members of staff. All speakers must limit their comments to the subject
matter as listed on the “Speaker’s Request Form.” No formal action can be taken on these
items.
E. REGULAR ITEMS
1) Approval of minutes: regular meeting dated August 19, 2004.
2) To consider approval regarding amendments to the City’s Subdivision Regulations. An
ordinance of the City of Kennedale, Texas amending Article V, “Subdivision Regulations”,
of Chapter 17, of the Kennedale City Code (1991), as amended, by providing requirements
