05/07/1992, Special Meeting MinutesPage 1894 MINUTES OF KENNEL~ALE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING - MAY 7, 1992 COMMUNITY CENTER Mayor Pro-Tem Pete Kirkpatrick called the meeting to order at 6:38 PM. Members present were Robert Mundy, Pete Kirkpatrick, Tom Boone and Ron Kovach. Steve Radakovich and Mark Wright were absent. Staff in attendance were Ted Rowe and Linda Gress. ITEM N0. 1 - Canvass May 2, 1992 General Election. Pete Kirkpatrick read the returns of the general election held May 2, 1992 electing mayor and two council members.. There were a total of 535 ballots cast as follows: FOR MAYOR Steve Radakovich 198 votes; Bill Abbott 337 votes; FOR COUNCIL - PLACE 2 Tom Boone 364 votes; Clint Hulsey 133 votes; FOR COUNCIL - PLACE 4 Ron Kovach 387 votes; Page 1895 Motion by Hobert Mundy, second by Ron l~ovach, to approve the , canvassing of the election and Resolution No. 2QJ declaring the new Mayor, Bill Abbott; Council members, Place 2, Tom Boone; Place 4, Ron Kovach. Motion carried unanimously. ITEM HO. 2 - General Discussion. Ted Rowe informed Council that two trucks were. purchased for the Water Department and information from the insurance company should be available on May 14th concerning the Water Department building and vehicles. Ted Rowe scheduled a joint. meeting between the KISD Board and City Council. to be held Thursday, June 4th regarding discussion of future tax abatements. Ted Rowe stated that the engineering report for the Vera Lane sewer project was estimated at 599,800. The project committee will meet and submit information to Council at a later date. There being no further business, motion was made by Robert Mundy to adjc7urn the meeting at 6:46 PM. Second by Ron Kovach and passed unanimously. APPROVE: ayor Steve Radakovich ATTEST: City Secretary
