O70-10KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 70-10 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE BOND AND INTEREST RETIRE- MENT FUNDS OF ALL OUTSTANDING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, AS HEREIN SET FORTH, FOR THE TAX YEAR 1970; APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE: AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY a CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section 1. That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal govern- ment of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and to provide an inter- est and sinking fund for the retirement of each series of out- standing general obligation tax bonds of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as hereinafter set forth, upon all property, real, per- sonal and mixed, within the corporate limits of the said City of Kennedale, Texas, subject to taxation, a tax of One and No 1100 41.00) Dollars on each One Hundred and No/100 4100.00) Dollars va luaTion of property for the tax year 1970, said tax being so levied and apportioned for the purposes herein set forth: (g) For the City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1952, Interest and Sinking Fund: Nine Cents ( 9 ¢) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) Va lua tion= of, property . For the City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1955, Interest and Sinking Fund:Th Cents ( j) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)2 valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale Series 1960, Interest and Cents (10 2 0) on each One valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale Series 1962, Interest and Cents ( 4 ¢) on each One valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale Series 1964, Interest and Cents ( 3 0) on each One valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale Series 1965, Interest and Cents ( 2 0) on each One valuation of property. (h) For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System and Sewer System General Obligation ;ends, Series 1970 and 1970-A, Interest and Sinking Fund: Thirty -Five Cents ( 35 $) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (i) For the maintenance and support of the general government of the City of Kennedale (General Fund): Twenty -Nine and % Cents (29;�`) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. Section 2. There is hereby levied and there shall be col- lected from every person, firm, association or corporation pur- suing any occupation taxed by the general laws of the State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to one-half (1/2) of the state occupation tax, which said taxed shall be paid annually in advance except where otherwise provided by state law, and then as provided by state law, which, occupation taxes are hereby appropriated to the maintenance and support of the general munici- pal government (General Fund). Section 3. All monies collected under this ordinance are hereby appropriated and set apart for the purposes indicated, and the City Secretary shall keep accounts so as to readily and dis- tinctly show the amount collected, the amound expended and the amount on hand at any time, in each of said funds, and it is here- by made the duty of the City Tax Assessor -Collector and every per- son collecting money for the City of Kennedale_, Texas, to deliver to the City Secretary -Treasurer, at the time of depositing any monies, a stateent showing to what fund such deposit should be made and from what source received. All receipts of the City of Kennedale not specifically apportioned by this ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City, unless the City Council shall by resolution or ordinance hereafter otherwise direct.
