ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPT.z,D; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR, ADENDING AND CORRECT- ING TEE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article 974-g, Vernon's Texas Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, as amended, Lrs. C. N. Hiett, a widow, being the sole owner of the real property hereinafter described, has made application as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, requesting annexation to said City of the area situated in the County of Tarrant, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit: BEING a tract of land in the Z. C. Cannon, F. W. Wood and Benjamin JoplingSurvey, Tarrant County, Texas, more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the intersection of the existing corporate limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, at the intersection of the Swiney-Hiett Road (County Road No. 2149) and the Old Mansfield Road (County Road No. 2035); THENCE Southeast with_the existing corporate limits line of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and the northeasterly right-of-way line of Old Mansfield Road (County Road. No. 2035) to a point in said northeast right-of-way line which is exactly 400 feet south of the south right-of-way line of Swiney- Hiett Road (County Road No. 2149); THENCE east_to the west line of the Benj min Jopling Survey, Abstract No. 866; THENCE north with the west line of said Jopling Survey (being also an east line of the B. Jopling Survey, Abstract No. 880) to the north right-of-way line of Swiney- Hiett Road (County Road No, 2149); THENCE west_with the north rightof-way line of said Swiney-Hiett Road to the existing corporate limit line of the City of Kennedale, Texas; THENCE westerly with the existing corporate limits of the City of Kennedale to place of beginning. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as provided by law, at a regular meeting on this the 29th day of June, 1963, duly and legally considered the said petition, hearing the arguments for and against such annexation, and it appearing to the City Council that all statutory recuire- Dents in connection with said application and p G'ition have been fulfilled and that all of said area, on which less than three qualified voters reside, is adjacent and contiguous to the present existingr, boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale, and is not mitre than one half () mile in width, all of which the Council so finds; now, therefore: BE IT ORDAINED B THE CITY COUNCIL OF THECiTY OF I NNEDAIE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the property hereinabove described lying adjacent and contiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, be, and the same is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 2. That the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be, and they are hereby declared entitled to all the rights and privileges of oth-r property owners and citizens of the said City of Kennedale, Texas, and shall be bound by all acts and ordinances of said City of Kennedale which are now in force and effect, and which may be hereafter adopted. Section 3, That the official map and boundaries of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be corrected and amended, so as to include the above described area and territory as a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, duly attested by the City Secretary. City Council, Kennedale, Texas Now comes Mrs. C. N. Hiett, a widow who owns and resides on a platt of acreage bounded on the North by Swinney-Hiett Road and on the West by the Old Mansfield Hi -way and prays the Honorable .h_ayor and City Council that they annex a cer- tain portion of said platt to the corporate area of the city of Kennedale. A description of proposed annexable platt is as follows: The West boundary of said platt shall be the Old Mansfield Hi -Way to a point exactly four hundred feet from the North East corner of the platt or from a point where the Old Mansfield Hi -Way jthins Swinney-Hiett Road. The South boundary shall be a line drawn from this four hundred foot mark and running due East to a point fifty feet beyond the last white house which is the residence of Norwood Hiett, son of petitioner, and is the last of three residences included in this platt. The East boundary shall be a line running due North from this point and to Swinney-Hiett Road. The North boundary shall be Swinney-Hiett Road. In exchange for granting the above described properties for annexation, petitioner would expect whatever rights and privileges usually accruing to those within the corporate limits of the City of Kennedale. The making available of city water for this area by the City Council is expressly a pabt of this petition and consequent agreement. Wherefore petitioner prays the Mayor and Council for a speedy and favorable decision on this petition. Respectfully submitted Mr&. G. N.
