(RE -ADOPTION)
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY
ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF KENNE-
DALE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH.AREA SHALL
BE MADE A PART OF SUCH CITY AND Ti-E OWNERS
AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO
ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS
AND CITIZENS OF SAID CITY AND SHALL BE BOUND
BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND
TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING
FOR, AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL
BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED,
AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 3rd day of Mach, 1960,
the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, adopted Kenne-
dale Ordinance No, 60-3 annexing certain territory as therein
described, and whereas some question has arisen as to whether
the proper time elapsed between the filing of the petition for
annexation and the City Council's action thereon; and
WHEREAS, subseouent to the initial adopton of said
Kennedale Ordinance No60-3, the petitioners, James A. Arthur
and Robert William Bowles, have re -filed their petition for
annexation of the property described in said Ordinance, such
re -filing having been made on the 30th day of March, 1960,
the same being more than five (5) days and less than thirty (3)
days from the date of enactment of this Ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City. Council of
the City of Kennedale, Texas, to re -adopt Kennedale Ordinance
No. 60-3 as originally passed, in order to cure and validate
any irregularities that may have existed with respect to its
original adoption; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
That Kennedale Ordinance No. 60-3, as heretofore adopted
on the 3rd day of March, 1960, is hereby on this 7th day of
April, 1960, re -adopted, passed, enacted and approVed as it was
originally adopted on the said 3rd day of March, 1960.
