AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRI-
TORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY
OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS; PROVIDING THAT SUCH
AREA SHALL BE MADE A PART. OF SUCH CITY
AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF
SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF
OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS AND CITIZENS OF SAID
CITY AND SHALL BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND
ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HERE-
AFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR,
AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL
BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE
ADOPTED, AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, heretofore on the 4th day of August, 1960,
the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, adopted Kenne-
dale Ordinance No. 60-6 annexing certain territory as therein
described4wang,whereas some questiontas arisen as to whether
the propel' L psed between the filing of the petition for
annexation and the City Council°s action thereon; and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the initial adoption of
said Kennedale Ordinance No. 60-6, the petitioner, Ruth Rodgers,
a single woman, has re -filed her petition for annexation of
the property described in said Ordinance, such re -filing having
been made on the 31st day of August, 1960, the same being more
than five (5) days and less than thirty (30) days from the date
of enactment_of this ordinance; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Ccuncil of
the City of Kennedale, Texas, to re -adopt Kennedale Ordinance
No. 60-6 as originally passed, in order to. cure and validate
any irregularities that may have existed with respect to its
original adoption; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
That Kennedale Ordinance No. 60-6,as heretofore
adopted on the 4th day of August, 1960, is hereby on this 8th
day of September, 1960, re -adopted, passed, enacted and approved
as it was originally adopted on the said 4th day of August, 1960.
