KENNEDRLE CITY COUNCIL
PUBLIC HEARING - SEPTEMBER 14, 1995

7:30 PM
Mayor Abbott called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m.
Members present were Mayor Abbott, Councilmen Wright, Mundy, Barrett,
Boone and Kovach.
Councilman Barrett gave the invocation.
Staff present were Ted Rowe, Kathy Turner, Vicki Thompson, Linda
Royster, Jerry Trammell, John LaPorte, David Geeslin and legal counsel,
Wayne K. Olson.
Public Hearing No. 1 - To receive citizens comments regarding a request
for a zoning change from the current "C-2" (General Commercial) to a
classification of "OT" (Old Town District), requested by six individual
applicants.
Ms. Betty Guerrero, Mr. Cecil Skates, Ms. Fern Daniel, Mr. Holegario
Olmios signed in favor of the zoning change but did not wish to speak
before council.
Mr. Jay McGlothlin stated that he would like his property rezoned from
"C2" General Commercial to "OT" Old Town District in case his house
burned down, this would enable him to rebuild.
Mr. Steve Radakovich spoke about the mobile home park abutting the "OT"
Old Town District and what it projected for Old Town District and
requested Council to keep this in mind.
Public Hearing No. 2 - To receive citizens comments regarding the
proposed budget for Fiscal Year 1995-96.
Mr. Steve Radakovich spoke against the proposed budget. In speaking
about the budget, Mr. Radakovich also addressed the tax increase,
highway expansion, sign regulation, pay raises and the hiring of
additional personnel.
Mr. Robert Suess, Director of Operations from Heidelberg Harris
addressed Council regarding the city's tax increase over the last three
years and asked Council to review these steps in the upcoming years.
There being no further discussion, Mayor Abbott adjourned the public
hearings at 8:10 p.m.
