process. Any residents interested in submitting an application to serve on a city board are invited to
attend.

IV. ADJOURNMENT
In compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Kennedale will provide for reasonable
accommodations for persons attending City Council meetings. This building is wheelchair accessible, and
parking spaces for disabled citizens are available. Requests for sign interpreter services must be made

Orientation and information session regarding City of Kennedale boards and the 2013 application
process. Any residents interested in submitting an application to serve on a city board are invited to

III. Summary:
At this time the City Council will be holding an orientation meeting for any residents who are interested in
serving on a city board. Topics to be covered will include:
- Overview of the city's Strategic Plan
- Overview of the city's Comprehensive Land Use Plan
- Overview of the city's Code of Ethics
- Overview of the responsibilities of each city board, including policy areas, training, relationships with
staff and /or council, time commitment, etc.

Any residents interested in serving on a board will benefit greatly from attendance at this meeting. This is
the second and last orientation meeting that will be held this year.
