08/10/1995, Public Hearing Minutes2164 MINUTES OF KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING - AUGUST 10, 1995 100 E. BROADWAY ST. - COMMUNITY CENTER 7:30 PM. Mayor Abbott called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. Members present were Mayor Abbott, Councilmen Wright, Mundy, Barrett and Kovach. Councilman Boone was absent. Staff present were Ted Rowe, Kathy Turner, Vicki Thompson, Linda Royster, and legal counsel, Wayne K. Olson. Councilman Mundy gave the invocation. Public Hearing No. 1 - To receive citizens comments regarding a request for a zoning change from the current "C2" General Commercial to "OT" Old Town District. The property, totaling approximately 7.737 acres, is made up of 11 lots that are owned by seven individuals which collectively serve as the applicant. No one was present to speak for or against the zoning change. Public Hearing No. 2 - To receive citizens comments regarding a request for a zoning change from the current "C2" General Commercial to "MH" Manufactured Housing. The property consists of approximately 4.431 acres and has been purchased by the owner of the adjacent property, the Avalon Mobile Home Park, who plans to expand his operation into this area. Mr. Don DunWoody is the owner/applicant. Ms. Sarah L. Ivison, Manager of Avalon Mobile Park, signed in favor of the zone change. There was no other persons to speak for or against the hearing.
