08/01/1995, Special Meeting Minutes2161 MINUTES OF KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING - AUGUST 1, 1995 100 E. BROADWAY ST. - COMMUNITY CENTER 6:30 PM Mayor Abbott called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m. Members present were Mayor Abbott, Councilmen Mundy, Barrett, Kovach. Councilman Boone arrived at 7:03 p.m. Councilman Wright was absent. Staff present were Ted Rowe, Vicki Thompson and Kathy Turner. ITEM NO. 1 - Accept Petition for Annexation, Order a Service Plan to be prepared and schedule public hearings. Councilman Mundy moved to accept the Petition for Annexation, requested by Mr. Ron Sturgeon for the property located at 6910 E. Mansfield Highway, A716, Tract 3H, W.H. Hudson Survey (Budget American & Import Auto, Inc.), direct City Secretary to prepare a Service Plan and Ordinance, schedule public hearings and publish required notices, seconded by Councilman Barrett. Motion carried with no opposition. ITEM NO. 2 - Accept Petition for Annexation, Order a Service Plan to be prepared and schedule public hearings. Councilman Barrett moved to accept the Petition for Annexation, requested by Mr. Ralph Shelton, on behalf of Mr. Doug Bevoni for Country Estates, direct City Secretary to prepare a Service Plan and Ordinance, schedule appropriate public hearings, and publish required notices, seconded by Councilman Kovach. Motion carried unanimously. ITEM NO. 3 - General Discussion. There was no general discussion. ITEM NO. 4 - Budget Workshop. Ms. Vicki Thompson, Director of Finance presented council with their budget workbooks and gave a short overview regarding the lay out of the book. Mr. Rowe briefed Council on the General Fund Summary by Department, Water Fund Summary by Department, Ambulance Fund Summary, Estimated Cash Position, General Fund Revenue, Franchise Tax Estimates, Debt Service Fund, Water and Sewer Revenues, and Ambulance Revenues. In closing, Ms. Thompson presented council with additional information from the City Secretary, Finance, Senior Citizen and Community Center departments that are scheduled to be reviewed on August 3, 1995, as well as, a salary survey from various cities.
