THE FUTURE OF CONSERVATION
• Proactive Education
Conservation messages on all interactions with the customer
• Engaged Customers
Real-time data to allow customers to understand their impacts
Customer "bench marking" to incent better usage habits
• Usage Restrictions
Enforcement through data analytics
• Innovative Rate Structures
Promote conservation while maintaining required revenue
Personal water budgets and time of use rate structures
CHALLENGES
• Drive-By Meter Reading (20-Year Old Technology)
One reading per month per meter
Limited and aged data
Billing process (21 day read cycle)
• Lack of Data for City
Operating system on 12 data points per year
No ability to measure or enforce conservation efforts
Water system modeling (asset component)
Production/consumption management
• Lack of Data for Residents
No feedback on the impacts of water choices to their usage and bills
Minimal ability to change behaviors
CHALLENGES
■ Lack of Integrated Systems to Access Data
Noway to get access to the data we have
Need something fast, easy and secure
OPERATIONAL TRENDS

I wanted to commend you on the excellent care that was provided to a fifty -one year old
cardiac arrest patient. As you are aware this patient had bystander CPR in progress on
your arrival. He responded well to defibrillation, intubation, and drugs. Once he arrived
here he suffered significant changes on his 12 lead EKG and the Cath Lab was activated.

Because the patient was so unstable he did not go immediately to the Cardiac Cath Lab.
Once in the Cath Lab it was found that he had a 100% blockage of his Left Anterior
Descending Coronary Artery (LAD). This was stented and the patient was taken to the
Intensive Care Unit. Once in the ICU he was started on the Therapeutic Hypothermia
protocol. He was extubated yesterday and is following commands and responding to his
family. Thanks for the heroics of involved bystanders and the excellent care provided by
Kennedale Fire Department this patient is doing extremely well.
Thank you for the hard work that you do in caring for the citizens of Kennedale. We are
proud to call you part of our care team at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, If I can
provide any additional information please do not hesitate to contact me. I can be reached
at (682) 622 -7182.
