ADD EDC 09252012 PACKETJimmy Lemons recently purchased Cooper Corner located at 445 West Kennedale Parkway. We have discussed this briefly at recent meetings. He is now moving forward and would like to submit a proposal to refurbish the fagade of the building and convert his pole sign to a monument style sign. The cost components include: • Improve sign lighting and power $1309.16 • Brick the sign and install a LED sign 3700 —4500 • Refurbish front landscaping structure 3400 • Fagade improvements • Fagade paining • Restripe parking lot • Interior and exterior renovations • Parking lot improvements Total 4200 2720 433 4306 2500 $22568.16 — 23236.16 In addition, he would like to purchase the LED sign that was previously used in the TownCenter. I have attached estimates covering most of these items. My general thought was to provide a grant with a 50% reimbursement but credit back $5000 for the LED sign. For example, if we took the high estimate of $23,000/2 = $11,500, less the $5000 credit = $6,500 grant for the improvements with payments following completion of the work and submission of actual bills not to exceed a predetermined limit (in this illustration $23,000). The center looks better and the sign improvements would help the parkway appearance.
