KENNEDALE CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING —APRIL 281h, 2011

I. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Bryan Lankhorst called the meeting to order at 5:34pm.

IX. AGENDA
All matters listed under consent agenda have been previously discussed, require little or
no deliberation, or are considered to be routine by the council. If discussion is desired,
then an item will be removed from the consent agenda and considered separately.
A. Discuss and consider Resolution 360, authorizing notice of intention to issue
certificates of obligation.
Ryan Cunningham from Southwest Securities presented the council with information
regarding the pending certificates of obligation. Bob Hart recommended that the city
council authorize approval for the city to advertise for certificates of obligating, noting
that the amount advertised is a not-to-exceed number. Bob Hart explained the
necessary amount was reached by considering several ongoing and upcoming
projects, and that in order for council to issue the debt during the June regular
meeting, the notice of intent to issue certificates would need to be advertised as soon
as possible.
A motion to approve Resolution 360, authorizing notice of intention to issues
certificates of obligation in the amount of$3,800,000.00 was made by John Clark,
second by Jerry Miller. The motion passed 3-0.

A motion to adjourn was made by John Clark, second by Jerry Miller. The motion passed 3-0.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:12 pm.
