The property is located in the 5800 block of Treepoint Drive. No persons signed in to speak for or against the proposed annexation. Mr. Carl Moore, Vice President of FWT Inc., Addition addressed Council with a request that the entire 60 acres be designated as a new reinvestment zone. In addition, he requested a tax abatement be granted to FWT, Inc., for future expansion as allowed by law. Mayor Mundy questioned Mr. Moore how he would explain to the citizens of Kennedale why the Council would grant FWT an additional abatement. Mr. Moore replied that he would hope that the citizens of Kennedale could see that FWT is bringing additional work force to the city. Councilman Boone inquired as to where the sales were made from FWT, Inc. Mr. Moore stated that their sales were mainly over seas.
