SPECIAL MEETING -NOVEMBER 17, 1999

Mayor Wright called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.
Members present: Mayor Wright, Councilmembers Clark, Barrett, Vaughn, and Kovach.
Members absent: Councilmember Hoover.
Staff present: Ted Rowe, Kathy Turner, Lynette Whidden, Linda Royster, and Michael Box.
ITEM NO. 1-Workshop with graphic consultants.

Graphic Consultants, Mr. Ted Davidson, and Mr. Steve Davidson made a presentation before
Council. During the presentation a proposed city logo was shown in a classic approach, an
aggressive approach, and asemi-aggressive approach, which reflected various typeface placement
positions of the logo in two color combinations ranging from red and blue, and green and gold.
Councilmembers reviewed the designs and came to a consensus of asemi-aggressive logo with a
green K and a gold outline of the State of Texas. Minor changes were recommended to the
design with final action being scheduled during the December 9 Council meeting.
ITEM NO. 2 -Consideration of rebuilding Trinity Two well pump and motor.
Councilmember Barrett moved to approve the refurbishment of the Trinity Two Pump and Motor
for $30,000, and to make a budget amendment using funds from the water reserve fund to pay for
said repairs, seconded by Councilmember Clark. Motion carried.
ITEM NO. 3 -Consideration of H.B. 1777 Implementation Plan for Telecommunication
Providers.
Councilmember Kovach moved that the distribution by Southwestern Bell remain the same,
second by Councilmember Clark. Motion carried.
ITEM NO. 4 -General discussion.
Items briefly discussed included the Regional Transportation Council meeting scheduled for
November 18, 1999, Mayor's Council Banquet scheduled for December 13, 1999; and an
informal meeting with the Shady Creek Homeowner's Association President regarding the
proposed widening of Little School Road.
No other discussion the meeting adjourned at 7:50 p.m.
