AN ORDINANCE REQUIRING THE USE OF LCAD -FREE
FLUX AND SOLDER IN PLUMBING INSTALLATION OR
REPAIR; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY AND EFFECTIVE
DATE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF XENNEDALE,
TEXAS, THAT:
SECTION 1 . From and after the date of'this Ordinance, it
shall be illegal to use solder or flux in any plumbing
installation or repair within the city limits of the City.of
-
I<ennedale with a lead content of greater than 0.2.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, or corporation violating any
provision of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a criminal
offense and shall be fined any sum not to exceed Two Hundred
Dollars ($200.00). Each day that a violation continues shall be
deemed to constitute a separate offense.
SECTION 3 . This Ordinance is directed to be published as
required by law and shall be effective from and after the date of
publication.
