O88-11CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 88 -11 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX RATE FOR THE CITY OF KENNEDALE FOR THE TAX YEAR 1988. BE IT, THEREFORE, ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: We, the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, do hereby levy or adopt the tax rate on $100.00 valuation for this city for tax year 1988 as follows: $ .28812 for the purpose of maintenance and operation $ .03188 for the purpose of interest and sinking on bonds $ .3200 total tax rate The tax assessor - collector is hereby authorized to assess and collect the taxes of the City of Kennedale employing the above tax rate. The above ordinance and order was unanimously passed by the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas this 27th day of September, 1988. A public meeting to vote on the tax rate will be held on Sept. 27, 1988, 7:30 p.m.at 100 East Broadway St., Community Center, Kennedale, Texas. On August 11 a black male entered Duke's Convenience Store and de- manded the clerk open the register. When the clerk could not produce the key to the register the suseect fled the business with the clerk's purse and jewelry. On August 13 the theft of a sunroof was reported from a car lot in the 500 block of West Mansfield Highway. On August 12 the front glass of a business in the 100 block of West M ansfield Highway was smashed out and actors removed 80 cartons of ciga rettes valued at $825. On August 15 a residence was found to have been burglarized while the occupants were vacationing. Taken were a TV and a stereo. The theft of an air conditioning unit was reported on August 18. The unit was valued at $850. A storage room in the 800 block of East Mansfield Highway was burglar- ized of $290 worth of property. The report was made on August 19. A residence under construction was the site of a burglary that resulted in the loss of carpeting valued at $1,600. The burglary was reported on August 14. Cigarettes valued at $75 were stolen from a local convenience store during business hours. The report was filed August 25. . As assault that occurred on August 22 resulted in an arrest warrant being . served on the suspect who was later released on bond pending court ac- tion. The theft of a pickup truck wal reported on August 27. The vchiclr. was later recovered in Arlington. Also taken in this incident was a boat that has not been recovered as of this time A Kennedale resident reported thf burglary of a residence that resulted i the loss of $4,000 in cash and check The report was made on August 29.' A theft from a pinball machine in t local business was reported in Augus" 26. Loss was listed at $21.75.
