ORDINANCE NO. 87 -12
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING KENNEDALE CITY CODE, CHAPTER 14 SECTION 14 -1(A) (1)
AND SECTION 14 -1 (2) (A); ALSO AMENDING SECTION 14 -31 (B) (1), SECTION
14 -31 (B) (2) AND SECTION 14 -31 (B) (4); INCREASING WATER AND SEWER
RATES; AND PROVIDING FOR EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT THEREFORE ORDAINED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF TI-IE CITY OF I�ZNNEDALE,
TEXAS, THAT:
Section 1 . Chapter 14 Section 14 -1 (a) (1) by increasing water rates
as follows:
0 to 2,000 gallons per month - $5.50 (minimum charge).
Over 2,000 gallons - $2.35 per 1,000 gallons.
Section 2 . Section 14 -1 (2) (a) is hereby amended by increasing water
charges for service outside of the City limits as follows:
0 to 2,000 gallons per month - $22.06 (minimum charge).
Over 2,000 gallons - $2.61 per 1,000 gallons.
Section 3 . Section 14 -31 (b) (1) is hereby amended by increasing the
monthly sewer service charge from $2.30 to $5.00.
Section 4 . Section 14 -31 (b) (2) is hereby amended by increasing the
monthly sewer volume charge from $0.92 per thousand gallons to $1.00 per
thousand gallons.
Section 5 . Section 14 -31 (b) (4) is hereby amended so that the minimum
monthly Service charge for comTercial accounts based on water meter size shall
be as follows:

Section 6 . Residential I 65 and older & Disabled Persons
qualifying for a Tax Exemption are exempt from above increases.
Section 7 . All other provisions of Chapter 14 not in conflict with
this Ordinance shall remain in full force and effect.
Section 8 . This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after the
17th day of December, "'1987.
PASSED IN OPEN SESSION of the City Council of the City of Kennedale,
