The City of Kennedale, Texas will
accept sealed proposals for the
design and 'construction of a one=
story fire station building to be
performed under a Performance
Contract. Bids will be accepted at
the City Secretary's Office 209 N.
New Hope Rd. until 5:00 P.M. on
March 14, 1985. All proposals will
be publicly opened, tabulated and
taken under advisement at the
March 14, 1985, 7:30 p.m. Council
Meeting. The Council will have up
to thirty [30] days for evaluation and
will award contract at next regular
meting or as directed by Council.
Bids may not be withdrawn or
modified after time set for receipts
of bids.
The fire station building program,'
setting forth the requirements,
schematic plans, outline specifica-
tions, instructions to bidders, and
contract documents, may be ob-
tained from City Secretary's Office
or from Lee Stuart and Associates,
P.O. Box 15580, 1150 E. Mansfield
Highway, Fort Worth, Texas, 76119,
817 -478 -1497, upon deposit of
Twenty -five dollars [$25.00] made
payable to the Architect. Deposit
will be refunded in *full if all
documents are returned, in good
condition, withing 10 days following
receipt of bid. Plans available
February 21, 1985.
A Cashier's Check or Certified
Check on a State or National Bank in
Texas, payable without recourse to
the City of Kennedale;` or an
Acceptable Surety Porposal Bond, in
an amount not less than five percent
[5%] of the largest possible bid,
including consideration of alter-
nates, must accompany each bid as
a guarantee that, if awarded the
contract, the bidder will .promptly
enter into a contract and execute
bonds on forms provided as outlined
in the Specifications and Instruc-
tions to Bidders. 'A Performance
Bond and Payment ` Bond in the
amount of one hundred percent
[100%] of the Contract :price will be
required.
The work will be awarded under a
single prime :contract, including
general , construction, HVAC;
plumbing, and electrical work. At
tention is called to the fact that not
less than the prevailing wage rates
for the neighboring area to be paid
on this project.
The City Council reserves the right
to reject any and /or all bids, and
waive any formalities or irregular-
ities in bids or in bidding and to
award the Contract deemed to be in
the best interest of the _City of

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KEN
NEDALE, TEXAS; THAT:
Section '1. From and after the
effective date of this ordinance,
Chapter Thirteen, Sub - Chapter B of
the Kennedale Zoning Ordinance'is
amended to provide that multiple
family construction and multiple
family housing uses shall not be
permitted in districts zoned D, ;E,
and F.
Section 2. This ordinance shall not
apply to those projects 'currently
under consideration- by the planning
and zoning commission.
Section 3. Any person who violates
a provision of • this ordinance is
guilty of an offense and is subject to
a fine of not less that $25.00 nor
more than $1,000.00.
Section 4. This ordinance is dir.
ected to be published as required by
law and shall be effective from and
after said publication.

NEDALE, TEXAS, that;
Section 1. From and after the
effective date of this ordinance,
Chapter 14, Section 14 -3[e] shall be
amended so that Section [e] shall
now read as follows:
[e] If the accuracy or correctness
of the water meter is questioned by
the customer, the meter can be
tested. If a mistake is present, the
Access amount; as taken from the
total of gallons used, shall be
credited to the customer's account.
If no error is found in the meter
registry, the customer shall be
charged as follows:
For meters two inches or smaller a
[manpower service] charge of $5 .00;
For meters larger than two inches
a. [manpower service charge] of
$10.00."
In addition. to the service charge,
the customer will pay the actual
costs as charged by independent
testing companies to test the meter..
Section 2. This ordinance shall be
in full force and effect' from and
after the date of its passage.
