Cystic fibrosis is a recessive gene
disease, so that for a child to have
CF, both mother and father must
carry the gene. Unfortunately, one
out of twenty of us is an unknowing
carrier of the CF gene, and there is
no way of telling who is a CF carrier
until a baby is born with cystic
fibrosis. The Cystic Fibrosis Found-

research that will find a carrier test.
