AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 13, SUBCHAPTER B,
ARTICLE 2, OF THE KENNEDALE CITY CODE 1977, BE-
ING THE "KENNEDALE ZONING ORDINANCE," SO AS TO
ADD MOTOR VEHICT,F TUNE-UP SHOPS, AS HEREIN
DEFINED, AS AN ADDITIONAL PERMISSIBLE USE IN
THE "E" COMMERCIAL ZONING DISTRICT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
1. That Chapter 13, Subchapter B, Article 2, of the Kennedale
City Code 1977, being the "Kennedale Zoning Ordinance," is hereby
amended by the addition of the following as Sub -paragraph (50) of
Subsection (a), of Section 13-23 thereof, being the "Use Regulations"
in the "E" Commercial District, said added Sub -paragraph (50) to
read as follows:
"(50) Automotive tune-up shops, defined as any shop or
garage open to the general public, that performs and is limited
to the performance of services for remuneration on motor or
self-propelled vehicles, as follows: Installation and/or
adjustment of spark plugs, points, condenser, or rotor and
stator for electronic equipment engines, distributor caps,
rotors, spark plug wires, carburetor settings, dwell angle
settings and timing; setting of valves on automobiles of
foreign manufacture when required by manufacturer's main-
tenance manual for tuning engine; and/or additional permissible
services not related to tune-up as follows: Installation or
adjustment of fan belts, air conditioner belts, alternator
belts, batteries, battery cables, light bulbs, windshield
wiper blades and headlights; provided an enclosed building
is provided for the regular performance of such services."
2. Except as hereinabove amended, the said Kennedale Zoning
Ordinance is expressly continued in full force and effect as
originally adopted and heretofore amended.
3. This amendment shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its adoption.
