O78-02CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 78-2 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE DEFINITION OF "JUNKED VEHICLE" IN CHAPTER 10, ARTICLE 4, SECTION 10-51, OF THE KENNEDALE CITY CODE 1977 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: 1. That Subdivision (2), of Section 10-51, of Article 4, of CHAPTER 10, " HEALTH, SAFETY AND NUISANCES" , of the KENNEDALE CITY CODE 1977, defining "Junked vehicle", is hereby amended to read as follows: "(2) "Junked vehicle" means any motor vehicle as defined in Section 1 of Article 6701d-11, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes, as amended, which: (a) is inoperative and which does not have lawfully affixed thereto both an unexpired license plate or plates and a valid motor vehicle safety inspection certificate and which is wrecked; dismantled; partially dismantled; or discarded; or (b) remains inoperable for a continuous period of more than 120 days." 2. That a person violating a provision of this ordinance, or the Code provisions to which it relates, is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction, is punishable by a fine not to exceed $200.00. 3. That CHAPTER 10 of the KENNEDALE CITY CODE 1977 shall re- main in full force and effect, save and except as amended by this ordinance, and this ordinance shallbecome effective immediately upon its adoption and approval.
