AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE
NO. 61-1 AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED AND AMENDED (SAME
BEING AN ORDINANCE PRESCRIBING RATES AND USEAGE
REGULATIONS OF THE KENNEDALE MUNICIPAL SEWER SYSTEM),
THIS AMENDMENT INCREASING THE SEWER TAP FEE FOR
CONNECTION TO A SEWER MAIN, AND OTHERWISE CONTINUING
SAID ORDINANCE NO. 61-1 IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS
ORIGINALLY ADOPTED AND HERETOFORE AMENDED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
1. That Section 2 of City of Kennedale Ordinance No. 61-1,
adopted on January 5, 1961, be and it is hereby amended so that said
Section 2 of said Ordinance No. 61-1 shall henceforth read as follows:
"SECTION 2. Each person, fiiui or corporation
making application for connection with the
municipal sanitary sewer system of the City
of Kennedale, Texas, for property or premises
not previously connected with said sewer system,
shall pay the City an installation, tap or
connection fee of Ninety and No/100 ($90.00)
Dollars. In addition thereto, if it is necessary
to cut a paved street to make such connection,
the applicant shall pay a further sum of Three
and No/100 ($3.00) Dollars per square foot to
defray the cost of cutting and repaving in
connection therewith. Only authorized employees
of the City of Kennedale shall make connection
to the Kennedale sewer system. Monthly sewer
service charges shall begin to accrue immediately
upon connection of any property to the Kennedale
municipal sewer system, if the main to which
connection is made is then in operation, and if
not, then immediately upon such main being put
into operation."
2. Except as hereinabove amended, said City of Kennedale
Ordinance No. 61-1 shall continue in full force and effect as
originally adopted and heretofore amended.
3. This amendment shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage and approval.
