AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR UNIFORM RANGE OF
FINES FOR CONVICTION OF A MISDEMEANOR OFFENSE
FOR VIOLATION OF ANY PROVISION OF ANY ORDINANCE
OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE HERETOFORE PUNISHABLE
BY FINE; REPEALING ONLY THE PROVISION RELATING
TO FINES IN ANY EXISTING ORDINANCE IN CONFLICT
HEREWITH, AND AMENDING SUCH PROVISION FOR FINES
IN ACCORDANCE WITH THIS ORDINANCE; AND PROVID-
ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas,
deems it to be advantageous to make the range of fines uniform for
all ordinances of the City of Kennedale, Texas, for the purpose of
codification of ordinances and enforcement thereof; now, therefore:
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
1. That hereafter the range of fines for misdemeanor con-
viction of violation of any provision of any ordinance of the City
of Kennedale, Texas, now providing punishment by fine, shall be any
sum not to exceed Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00), for each such con-
viction.
2. That all provisions of any existing ordinance of the
City of Kennedale relating to the amount of fine for violation of
the ordinance, and in conflict with this ordinance, are hereby re-
pealed with respect to the amount or range of fines only, and here-
by amended to provide a range of punishment by fine as set forth in
the preceding paragraph of this ordinance.
3. That all existing ordinances, except as hereinabove
amended, are expressly ratified and confirmed as still in full force
and effect as to all other provisions thereof, with only amendment
as to the range of fines for conviction of violations thereof.
4. That this ordinance shall be in full force and effect
immediately upon its passage and approval, and publication as re-
quired by law.

adopt an ordinance that
requires the demolition or
repair of a building that is
dilapidated, substandard,
unfit for human habitation,
or a hazard to the health,
safety, and welfare of
Kennedale residents,
