O77-13aCITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 77-13A AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SUB -PARAGRAPH (a), OF SECTION 1, OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 75-10, RELATING TO RATES FOR WATER SYSTEM CUSTOMERS OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE WHEREAS, in the adoption of Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10, relating to water rates, on December 11, 1975, the City Council adopted rates in accordance with the amendment hereinafter re- cited, and have continuously billed and collected for water at the rates hereinafter set forth; and WHEREAS, in the typing of said Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10, as heretofore signed and recorded in the files of the City, a typeographical error was made in transposing the number of $allons used which would be charged at the rate of $.50 and .40 per thousand gallons, respectively, and it is the desire of the City Council to correct such typeographical error and amend said Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10 so as to reflect the rates then adopted and put in force by the City Council of the City of Kennedale at its meeting on December 11, 1975; now, therefore: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: 1. That Sub -section (a), of Section-.1,of KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 75-10, relating to rates for water service to customers of the Kennedale Municipal Water System, is hereby amended to read as follows: "(a) Each meter connection shall be charged the following rates for water consumption per month: 0 to 2,500 gallons per month - $3.50 (minimum charge): 2,501 to 4,500 gallons per month - $.60 per thousand gallons; 4,501 to 50,000 gallons per month - $.50 per thousand gallons; 50,001 to above gallons per month - $.40 per thousand gallons." 2. The rate provisions contained in this ordinance shall be in full force and effect retroactively to the effective date set forth in Section 6 of said Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10, be- cause this amendment is to correct a typeographical error in the write-up of Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10, and make it conform to the rates then actually adopted by the City Council. 3. Except as herein amended, said Kennedale Ordinance No. 75-10 shall continue in full force and effect as heretofore adopted and typed. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 12th day of May, 1977. You should destroy all of the copies of Ordinance 77-13A handed you at the last Council meeting, and substitute the enclosed copies. You can remove the blue manuscript cover from the original of the prior ordinance, and attach it to the original of the enclosed ordinance. Please return one copy for my file after execution.
