O74-06CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 74-6 AMENDMENT OF KENNEDALE PLUMBING CODE BE IT ORDAINED BY -THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: 1. That the Kennedale Plumbing Code, being Kennedale Ordinance No. 73-4, as originally adopted on March 22, 1973, be and the same is hereby amended as set forth in this ordinance. 2. Section 4, Subsection (f), thereof is hereby amended by deletion of said Subsection (f) in its entirety, it being the intent by this amendment to prohibit the use of Poly Vinyl Chlo- ride Plastic Pipe for the purpose heretofore permitted by said Subsection (f). 3. Section 5 thereof is hereby amended by'addition there- to of the following paragraph: "No person, firm or corporation shall be authorized to make taps on the City's sanitary sewer mains, whether licensed hereunder or not, the City reserving to itself the exclusive right to tap its sanitary sewer mains, either through its duly authorized employees or under its ex- press supervision and direction; and anyone tapping a City sewer main in violation hereof shall be guilty of an offense under this ordinance." 4. Section 6 thereof is hereby amended by addition there- to of the following paragraph: "Those persons performing plumb- ing work not requiring`a license under the Texas Plumbing License Law, whether as property owner or otherwise, shall nevertheless be required to obtain a permit for any such work under the pro- visions of this Code, and shall be subject to the same regulations with respect to permit fees, inspections, standards of work, ma- terials and the like, as is required for other plumbing work under. the Code." 5. Section 7 thereof, being a schedule of permit fees, is hereby amended in the following respects only: (a) The reference to permit fee for private sewer disposal systems is amended to hereafter read as follows: 'For each private sewer disposal system (if permissible, and approved by Certificate of the Tarrant County Health Department) ...... $5.00". (b) The following additional fee item is hereby add- ed to said Schedule of Fees: "For each re -inspection of any plumbing installation hereunder . . . $2.00". (This is intended as an added fee for return to the site for reinspection of the installation for which permit was issued, and not an additional fee to each separately itemized part thereof requiring reinspec- tion.) 6. Section 9 thereof is hereby amended by addition there- to of the following sentence: "In ascertaining provisions that may be in conflict with this ordinance, and hereby repealed, ref- erence must also be made to the Uniform Plumbing Code, adopted by reference in Section 2 hereof, as well as the wording of this Ordinance No. 73-4 itself." • 7. Except as hereby expressly amended, the said Kennedale Plumbing Code (Ordinance No. 73-4) is continued in full force and effect as originally adopted.
