O72-08.ORDINANCE NO. 72-8 CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS ORDINANCE CANVASSING ELECTION RETURNS THE STATE OF TEXAS . COUNTY OF TARRANT . CITY OF KENNEDALE WHEREAS, the City Council of said City duly ordered an election to be held in said City, on the 24th day of June, 1972, on the PROPOSITIONS hereinafter stated; and WHEREAS, said City Council has investigated all matters pertaining to said election, including the ordering, giving of notice, officers, holding, and making returns of said election; and .WHEREAS, the election officers who held said election have duly made the returns of the result thereof, and said returns have been duly delivered to said City Council;.an_d WHEREAS, it is hereby officially found and determined that a case of emergency or urgent public necessity exists which requires the holding of the meeting at which this Ordinance is passed, such emergency or urgent public necessity being that the proceeds from the proposed bonds are required as soon as possi- ble and without delay for necessary and'urgently needed public improvements; and that said meeting was open to the public, and public notice of the time, place, and purpose of said meeting was given, all as required by Vernon's Ann. Civ. St., Article 6252-17. THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: 1. That the City Council officially finds and deter- mines that said election was duly ordered, that proper notice of said election was duly given, that. proper election officers were duly appointed prior to said election, that said election was duly held, that due returns of the result of said election has been made and delivered, and that the City Council of said City has canvassed said returns, all in accordance with law and the Ordinance calling said election. 2. That the City Council officially finds and deter- mines that the following votes were cast at the election on the PROPOSITIONS so submitted, by the resident, qualified electors who own taxable property in said City, and who have duly ren- dered the same for taxation, and who voted at the election: PROPOSITION NO, 1 180 VOTES: FOR y THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER SYSTEM GENERAL OBLIGATION BONS. 128 VOTES: AGAINST 183 VOTES: .FOR ) ) ) 132 VOTES: AGAINST ) PROPOSITION NO. 2 THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS. 3. That the City Council officially finds and deter- mines that the following votes were cast at the election, on the PROPOSITIONS so submitted, by all other resident, qualified electors of said City who voted at said election: IS VOTES: FOR ) ) VOTES: AGAINST ) 12 VOTES: FOR 11 VOTES: AGAINST PROPOSITION NO.'1 THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER SYSTEM GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS. PROPOSITION NO. 2 THE ISSUANCE OF SEWER SYSTEM REVENUE BONDS. 4.
