O72-04CITY OF KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 72-4 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AN ANNEXING TERRITORY AD- JACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO TL-ftItITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS; PROVIiING THAT SUCH, AREA IS HEREBY MADE A PART OF SAID CITY A TI OWNERS AJP INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES -OF OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS AND CITIZENS OF SAID CITY, AND SHALL BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO tE HEREAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR THE AMENDING AND CORRECTING OF THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, TO INCLUDE SAID LAND AND TERRITORY, A FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, after due n tide as required by the Texas Munici- pal Annexation Act, the City Council of the City of Ke nedale, Texas, has duly held a public hearing on the question of whether said City should institute annexation procee'ings on the herein- after described property and territory, giving all interest-d per- s ns an opportunity to be heard at such hearing; and WHEREAS, said City Council, after such public hearing and within the time prescribed by law, has d-termined that it will be in the best int-rest of said City of Kennedale, Texas, its inhabitants, and the owners and inhabitants of the herein- after described territory, that such land and territory be an- nexed to the City of Kennedale, Texas; and WHEREAS, at a regular meeting on this 9th day of March, 1972, said City Council has duly considered such annexation, and finds that all the territory hereinafter described is situated within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Kenne- dale, that it is adjacent and contiguous to the existing bound- aries of said city, that it is net more than one-half mile in width, that a/1 of the owners thereof have made written applica- tion as by law provided for the annexation thereof to said City, and that all statutory requirements and conditions for .nnexa- tion of said territory have been fulfilled; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the land and territory hereinafter de- scribed, lying entirely within the extra -territorial jurisdiction of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and being adjacent and c*ntigu- ous to the existing boundaries of said City, be, and the same is hereby annexed to and brought within the corporate boundaries, and hereby made an integral part of the City of Kennedale, Texas, such land and territory h-reby annexed being descri'ed by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit: Being a part of the M. F. Scott Survey, Abstract No. 1450, in Tarrant County, Texas, and also a part of a tract of five acres conveyed by Tommie L. Gay and wife, Linda F. Gay to Joe B. An- derson and wife, Guindolen A. And rson, by warranty d-ed dated September 3, 13,'33, and recorded in Volume 4616, at Page 390, of the Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit: Beginning .t the southwest corner of said five -acre tract con- veyed to Joe B. Anderson and wife, said point being in the east line of Susan Drive and the north intersecting line of a pro- posed street t* the east; Thence north with the east line of Susan Drive 243 feet to- a point for corner; Thence north per•tendicular to the east line of Susan Drive 100 feet to a point for corner; Thence south on a line parallel to the east line of Susan Drive 243 feet to a point for corner, said point being in the north line of said proposed street to the east; Thence west with the north line of said proposed street 100 feet to the point of beginning; togeth- er with any portion of Sus.n rive abutting the heretofore • described property on the west which portion of Susan Drive is not already a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 2. That the owners and inhabitants of the prop- erty above described and hereby annexed be, and they are hereby declared entitled to all of the rights rt&d privileges of other property owners and citizens of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and shall henceforth be bound by all of the acts nd ordinances of said City of Kennedale, Texas, which are now in force and ef- fect, and which may be hereafter adopted. Section 3. Boy City S -2_ ary of tie City of Ken.medale, Texas PETITION FOR ANNEXATION TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: We, the undersigned, being all of the owners of the hereinafter described land and territory, hereby petition the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, to in- stitute all proceedings and to adopt all ordinances and do all things necessary to annex the hereinafter described land and territory and make the same a part of the City of Kenne- dale, Texas, said land and territory being described as fol- lows, to -wit: Beinga part of the M.
