AN ORDINANCE AMENDING KENNEDALE ORDINANCE
NO. 17, ADOPTED ON JULY , 1952, AND
BEING AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND REQUIR-
ING LICENSES FOR ITINERANT VENDORS, ITIN-
ERANT MERCHANTS, PEDDLERS, ETC., WITHIN
THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS; SAID AMEND-
MENT CHANGING THE FEES FOR LICENSES FOR
SAID ITINERANT VENDORS, AND OTHERWISE EX-
PRESSLY CONTINUING SAID KE I DALE ORDINANCE
NO. 17 IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS ORIGIN-
ALLY ADOPTED.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
1. That Kennedale Ordinance No. 17, adopted on July
1952, being an Ordinance defining and -regulating itinerant mer-
chants, itinerant vendors, peddler, and persons selling or
taking orders forgoods, wares, merchandise, etc„ Within the
corporate limits of the City of Kenhedale, Texas, be, and said
Kennedale Ordinance NO. 17 is hereby amended, by amending Sec-
tion 6 thereof, so that said Section 6 of said Kennedale Ordin-
ance No. 17 shall hereafter read as follows:
"Section 6. That the license fee for an
itinerant merchant or itinerant vendor
shall be $30.00 per year, due and pay-
able on January 1 of each year and en-
titling the licensee to operate there-
under for the ensuing claendar year.
Every such license shall expire on
December 31 of the year for which it
is issued, and if application and is-
suance is for less than the full cal-
endar year, the following reduced li-
cense fees shall be applicable: S5.00
for any period of time of one month or
less; S10.00 for any period of more
than one month but less than three months;
$15.00 for any period of more than three
months but less than six months; 820.00
for any period of more than six months
but less than eight months; S25.00 for
any period of more than eight months but
less than ten months; S30.00 for any per-
iod of more than ten months up to one full
year. When any person, firm or corporation
shall engage in activities requiring a li-
cense hereunder, and shall act through
more than one agent or employee, then in
addition to the annual license fees here-
in required, an additional license fee
for each agent or employee in excess of
one operating within the City of Kenne-
dale shall be required, which additional
license fee shall be one -fifth of the
fee due by the principal licensee here-
under."
2. Except as hereinabove amended, said Kennedale Ordin-
ance No. 17 shall continue in full force and effect as original-
ly adopted. This amendment shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
