BE IT aRRAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KaiNEIIALE,,
Ighatie:
That any Police Officer of the City of
Kennedale, Tamils, or any Peace Officer or the State of
Texas, shall be authorized to arrest, without warrant,
persons althin the corporate limits of the City of
Kennedale, IMagas, under thefallowing clinmsenteinsfm

the Laws of the State of Texas. or the ordi-
nances. af the (City of Knnedale, when the
offense Is committed in the presence or
within the view of the Officer and the offense.

(b) Any person upon the verbal order of the
judge the Corpration Court of the City of
Kannada:le, ot other magistrate, when a felony
or breach of the peace- ha a beert. committed in

(c) Any person where it is shown by satisfactory

and the offender is shout to escape, so that there

(d) Any person found in. suspicious places and
under circumstances which reasonably show that
such person has been guilty of some felony sr

to commit same offense against the laws.
(e) Any person violating the public peace.
(f) Any person guilty of any disorderly'
conduct or disturbance.
(g) Any perSon who obstructs or interferes with
such oJlidleer in the execution of his duties of
office.

(i) Any person lurking suspicously at night in
or about any private residence or other private

such premises and does net have the permission
of the owner to be present thereon..

WITHOUT A WARRANT OF PERSONS WITHIN THE COR-
PORATE LIMITS OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS;
CONTAINING A SAVING CLAUSE AND AN EFFECTIVE
DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE,
TEXAS:
1. That any Police Officer of the City of
Kennedale, Texas, or any Peace Officer of the State of
Texas, shall be authorized to arrest, without warrant,
persons within the corporate limits of the City of
Kennedale, Texas, under the following circumstances:
(a) Any person committing an offense under
the Laws of the State of Texas or the ordi-
nances of the City of Kennedale, when the
offenses is committed in the presence or
within the view of the Officer and the offense
is classed as a felony or as an offense against
the public peace.
(b) Any person upon the verbal order of the
Judge of the Corporation Court of the City of
Kennedale, or other magistrate, when a felony
or breach of the peace has been committed in
the presence or within the view of such
magistrate.
(c) Any person where it is shown by satisfactory
proof to such Officer, upon representationof a
credible person. that a felony has been committed

(d) Any person found in suspicious places and
under circumstances which reasonably show that
such person has been guilty of some felony or
breach of the peace, or threatens or is about
to commit some offense against the laws.

(h) Any person found drunk in a public place.
(i) Any person lurking suspicously at night in

premises, when such person is not the owner of
such premises and does not have the permission
of the owner to be present thereon.
(j) Any person under circumstances authorized
by any other ordinance of the City of Kennedale
or by the laws of the State of Texas or the
United States, as groundfor arrest without
warrant.
2. In each case enumerated above where arrest
may be lawfully made without warrant, the Officer or
person making the arrest is justified in adopting all
the measures which he might adopt in cases of arrest
under warrant.
3. In each case enumerated above, the Officer
or person making the arrest shall immediately take the
person arrested before the Judge of the Corporation Court
or other magistrate who may have ordered the arrest, or
before the Judge of the Corporation Court or other nearest
magistrate of Tarrant County, where the arrestuds made
without an order.
4. If a magistrate is not available, such
person shall be charged with some offense within a
reasonable time, and given opportunity to make bail
therefor, or shall be released; provided, however, if
the arrest is for a felony, said offender shall be
promptly transferred to custody of the Tarrant County
Sheriff or Tarrant County District Attorney for handling.
5. If the arrest is .for drunkenness, said
person may be held in custody until he is sober, or
until bail and release to some responsible person is
arranged.
b. This ordinance is intended to be cumulative
of other ordinances of the City of Kennedale, Texas, on
this subject, and the provisions hereof shall not be
deemed to repeal any other or prior ordinances except
to the extent that the provisions hereof are directly
in conflict with such other ordinances, and then only
to the extent of such conflict.
