O67-17KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 67-17 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERTF.S. 1952, AND THE WATER WORKS SYSTEM BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1955, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AND''INTERES T RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES. 1960, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1962, AND THE GENERAL. OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST . RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1964, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1965, AND'THE.CITY OF KENNEDALE.REFUNDING BOND AND INTERES T.RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1967, FOR THE TAX.YEAR.1967; APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE; AND PROVIDING. AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section 1. That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal government of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and to provide an interest and sinking fund for the retirement of City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1952, and City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1955, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1960, and City of Kennedale General Obligation :ends, Series 1962, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1964, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1965,. and City of Kennedale Refunding Bonds, Series 1967, upon all property, real, personal and mixed, within the cor- porate limits of the said City of Kennedale, Texas, subject to taxation, a tax of One and No/100 Dollars ($1.00) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property for the year 1967, said tax being so levied and apportioned for the purposes herein set forth: (a) For the City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1952, Interest and Sinking. Fund: Ten Cents (100) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (b) For the City of Kennedale Water Works System Bonds, Series 1955, Interest and Sinking Fund: Two Cents (2 per One Hundred and No/100 Dollars $100.00) valuationof property. (c) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation nds, Series 1960, Interest and Sinking Fund: Ten Cents (100) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (d) Forthe City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1962, Interest and Sinking Fund: Two Cents (20) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property, (e) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds., Series 1964, Interest and Sinking Fund: Two Cents (20) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars (5100.00) valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds., Series 1965, Interest and Sinking Fund: Two Cents (20) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. For the City of Kennedale Refunding Bonds, Series 1967, Interest and Sinking Fund: Two Cents (20). on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (h) For the maintenance and support of the general government (General Fund): Seventy Cents(70$) on each One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. Section 2. There is hereby levied and there shall be collected from every person, firm, association or corporation pursuing any occupation taxed by the general laws of the State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to one. half (i) of the state occupation tax, which said taxes shall be paid annually in advance except where otherwise provided by state law, which occupation taxes are hereby appropriated to the maintenance of the generalmunicipal government (General Fund). Section 3. All monies collected under this ordinance are hereby appropriated and set apart for the purposes indicated, and the City Secretary shall keep accounts so as to readily and distinctly show the amount collected, the amount expended, and the amount on hand at any time, in each of said funds, and it is hereby made the duty of the City Tax Assessor -Collector, and every person collecting money for the City of Kennedale, to deliver to the City Secretary -Treasurer, atthe time of depositing any monies, a statement showing to what fund such deposit should be made and from what source received. All receipts for the City not specifically apportioned by this ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City, unless the City Council shall by resolution or ordinance hereafter otherwise direct. (f ) (g) Section 4+.
