AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND ANNEXING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS
TO THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA BE MADE A
PART OF SAID CITY AND THAT THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE
ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS AND CITIZENS
OF SAID CITY AND SHALL BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT
AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED: FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING
THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, AND FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE,
WHEREAS, pursuant to provisions of Article 974-g, Vernon's Texas Civil Statues
of 1925, as amended, Tommie L. Gay and wife, Linda F. Gay, Kenneth Ray McCutcheon
and wife, Lynette I. McCutcheon, and Kenneth L. Harris and wife, Scottie L. Harris,
being all of the owners of real property hereinafter described, have made applica-
tion as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale,
Texas, requesting annexation to said city of the area situated in this County of
Tarrant, State of Texas, described as follows, to -wit:
BEING a part of the M. F. Scott Survey, Abstract No. 1450, Patent No.
504, Volume 26, and also Deed of records, Kenneth Ray McCutche/n and
wife, Lynette I. McCutcheon, Volume 4244, page 409; Kenneth L. Harris
and wife, Scottie L. Harris, Volue 4246, Page 131; Tommie L. Gay and
wife, Linda F. Gay, Volumev3325; page 509; in Tarrant County, Texas
adjoining the present boundary line of the copporate limits of.the
City of Kennedale, Texas, and more particularly described as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron rod at a fence corner E-W-N 888.9 feet north
and 1817.8 feet east of the southwest corner of the M. F. Scott survey,
also being the north line of lot 23 of a subdivision as shown on plat

County, Texas;

WHEREAS, the City Council, as provided by law, at a regular meeting on the
lOth day of NolTenbe 1966, duly and legally considered the said petition, hearing
the arguments for and against such annexation, and it appearing to the City Council
of the City of Kennedale, Texas, that all statutory requirements in connection with
said application and petition have been fulfilled and that all of said area, on which
not more than three qualified voters reside, is adjacent and contiguous to the present
existing boundaries and limits of said City, and is not more than one-half mile in
width, all of which the Council so finds; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS:
Section 1. That the property hereinabove described lying adjacent and con-
tiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale,
Texas, be, and the same is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits
and made an integral part of the said City of Kennedale, Texas.
Section 2. That the owners and inhabitants of the

acts and ordinances of said City of Kennedale which are
and which may be hereafter adopted.
Section 3. That the official map and boundaries of the City of Kennedale,
Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be corrected and amended, so as to include
the above described area and territory as a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas.
Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effection from and after its
passage and approval by the Mayor, duly attested by the City Secretary.

We, the undersigned owners of the hereinafter described land or territory,
hereby petition the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, to
institute all proceedings and to adopt all ordinance and do all other things
necessary to annex said hereinafter described land and territory and make the
same a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas, said land and territory being de-
