OF SAID CITY AND TT THE OWNERS AND.INHABITANTS.THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTEER PROPERTY OWNERS AND CITIZENS OF.SAID CITY, AND S LL BE ti)UND BY TiL. ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO.BE BE- AFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVAIPING FOR A'Au*ING AND CORRECTING TEE OFFICTAL BOUNDARIES OF -SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article 974-g, Vernon's Texas Revised Civil Statutes of 1925, as amended, Merle M. Car-thers and wife, Dcrothy-Caruthers, being all of the owners of the hereinafter described real property, have made application as by law provided to the Pyor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, requesting annexation to said City of the area situated in the County of rrrnt, State of Texas, des- cribed as follows, to -wit:. BEING a part of the W. E. L1tom Survey, Abstr et No. 731, in Tarrant County, Texas, and also a part of a certain tract deeded by F. D. Rodgers and wife, Clara Ro.gers, to Merle M. Caruthers and wife, Dorothy Caruthers, by deed recorded in Volume 3235, p.ge 192, Deed Records of Tarr County, Texas, and described by metes and bounds as follows, to -wit: BEGINNING at an iron pin 171,7 feet east of the northwest corner of said W.E. Haltom Survey; TiHCE south 2,640 feet to an iron pin for corner in the north line of Lot 6, Block 1, Turner Acres, an addition to the City of Kennedale, Tarrant County, Texas, said point also being in the present corporate licit line of the City of Kennedale, Texas; THENCE east with,the present corpotate limits of the City of Kennesiale, Texas, 50 feet to a point for corner;, THENCE north 568..17 feet to a point for corner; CE east 115, feet to a point for corner; THENCE north 2,07183 feet to a point for corner; THENCE west 165 feet to the place of beginning. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as provided by law, has heretofore given notice by publication of a public hearing on the question of the annexation of said above described territory, and has con- ducted a public hearing on said question as specified in such publication notice, hearing the arguments for and against such annexation, and has this 9th day of December, 1965, at a regular meeting of said City Council, duly and legally corsidered said petition, and it appearing to the City Council that all statutory requirements in connection with said application and petition have been fulfilled and that all of said area, on which less than three qualified voters reside, is adjacent and contiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and is not o➢ore than one-half mile in width, all of which the Council so finds; now, therefore: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the property hereinabove des- cribed lying adjacent and contiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, be, and the same is hereby annexed and brouglitwithin.the cor- porate limits and made an integral part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 2. That the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be, and they are hereby declared entitled to all the rights and privileges of other property owners and citizens of the said City of Kennedale, Tex s, nd shall be bound by all acts and ordinances of said ity of Kennedale which are now inforce and effect, and which may, be hereafter adopted. Section 3. It is the intention to herein des- cribe for annexation all of the ten acre tract conveyed to Merle M. Caruthers and wife, Dorothy Caruthers, by deed from F.D. Rodgers and wife, Clara Rodgers, dated July 25, 1958, and recorded in Volute 3235, page 192, Deed Records of Tarrant County, Texas, save and except a 12 acre tract in the southeast. corner of said to acres heretofore conveyed by the said Caruthers to other parties. Section 4. That the official map and boundaries of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be corrected and amended, so as to include the above described area and territory as a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 5. That this ordnance shall become effective from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, duly attested by the City Secretary. Caruthers and wife, Dorothy Caruthers, being all of the owners of the hereinafter described land and territory lying contiguous and adjacent to the existing corporate limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, hereby petition the yor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, to institute all proceedings and adopt all ordinances and do all other things necessary to annex said hereinafter described land and territory and make the same a Fart of the City of Kennedale, Texas, said land and territory being more particularly described as follows,to- wit: BEING a part of the W.
