AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION mpOND AND INTEREST
RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1964, AND THE GENERAL
OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND,
SERTES 1965, FOR THE TAX YEAR 1965; APPORTION-
ING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE."
BE IT ORDAINED BY TEE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE,
TEXAS:
That Kennedale Ordinance No. 65®9 being the Kennedale
Tax Ordinance for the Calender year 1965, be, and said Ord-
nance is hereby amended as follows, so that the tax rate,
levy and apportionment for the City of Kennedale for the
year 1965 shall be as follows:
Section 1. That there is hereby levied and there
shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal
government of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and to provide
an interest and sinking fund for the retirement of City of
Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1952, and. City
of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1955, and.
City of Kennedale General Obligation onds, Series 1960,
and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series
1962, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds,
Series 1964, and. City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds,
Series 1965, upon all property, real, personal and mixed,
within the corporate limits of the said City of Kennedale,
Texas, subject to taxation, a tax of One Dollar ($1.00) on
each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation. of property for
the year 1965, said tax being so levied and apportioned for
the purposes herein set forth:

For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System
Bonds, Series 1952, interest and Sinking
Fund: Ten Cents (10c")
on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
valuation of property.
(b) For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System
Bonds, Series 1955, Interest and. Sinking
Fund: Four Cents (24)
per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation
of property.

For the City of Kennedale General Obligation
:Bonds, Series 1960, Interest and Sinking Fund:
Sixteen Cents (16)

(d) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation
Bonds, Series 1962, Interest and Sinking Fund:

For the maintenance and support of the general
government (General Fund):
Sixty Cents (60) on
each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation
of property.
Section 2. There is hereby levied and there shall
be collected frou every person, firm, association or corporation
Pursuing any occupation taxed by the general laws of the State
of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to
one-half of the State Occupation Tax, which said taxes shall
be paid annually in advance except where therwise provided
by State Law, which occupation taxes are hereby appropriated
to the maintenance of the general municipal government (General
Fund).
section 3. All Honies collected under this ordinance
are hereby appropriated and set apart for the purposes indicated,
and the City Secretary shall keep accounts so as to readily
and distinctly show the amount collected, the amount expended
and the amount on hand at anytime, in each of said funds, and
it is hereby made the o;uty of the Tax Assessor -Collector, and
every person collecting toney for the City of Kennedale, to
deliver to the City -Secretary -Treasurer, at the time of de-
positing any monies, a statement showing to what fund such
deposit should be made and from what source received. All
receipts for the City not specifically apportioned by this
ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the
City, unless the City Council shall by resolution or ordinance
hereafter •therwise direct.
Section 4. This ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force and effect froit and after its passage.
