OF. ABANDONING .SAID ANIMAL TO. RUN. AT LARGE
AS A STRAY ANIMAL; FIXING A PENALTY FOR
THE VIOLATION HEREOF; PROVIDING THAT THIS
ORDINANCE IS INTENDED TO BE CUMULAT Eu E. OF
ANY O` ` IR ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF. KENNEDALE
PERTA t ING TO THIS SU ,i ECT; AND PROVIDING
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE,
TEXAS:
1. It shall be unlawful for any person owningor
having possession of any cat, dog or oter animal to release
Said animal within the corporate limits of the City of
Kennedale, Texas, with the intention of abandoning said
ani i 1 to run at large as a stray ani1.
2. It is expressly provided that this ordinance
shall be cumulative of any other ordinances of the City of
Kenftedale, relating to this subject, it being the express
intent of the City Council to hereby provide for the
punism. ent of intentional dumping or abandonment of
animals within the corporate limits of the City, and.
not to in anyway rescind prior ordinances forbiddi g the
running at large of ani als.
3. Any person violating any of the provisions
of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction shall be fined in any sum not less
than $50.00 nor more than $200.00 for each and every offense.
4. This ordinance shall be in.fuI1--force.and
effect immediately upon its passage and approval, and
publication as by law provided.
