O64-10KENNEDALE 0 .�• INANCE NO. 64-10 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE A SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING. FOR WATERWORKS SYSTEM tND AND INTEREST RETIRE- MENT FUND, SERIES 1952, AND THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1955, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION •-AND AND INTER -MT RETIREMENT FUND, SERIFS 1960, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIFS 1962, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION ; ND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1964, FOR T : TAX YEAR 1964; APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE. SPECIFIC PURPOSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFF " TIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section 1. That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal government of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and to provide an interest and sinking fund for the retirement of City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1952,.and City of Kennedale Waterworks System .on•s, Series 1955, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1960, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1962, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1964, upon all property, real, personal and mixed, within the corporate limits of the said City of Kennedale, Texas, subject to taxation, a tax of One Dollar ($1.00) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property for the year. 1964, said tax being so levied and pportioned for the purposes herein set forth: (a) For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1952, Interest and Sinking Fund: Twenty Cents 20 on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.0 valuation of property. (b) For City of Kenned, le Waterworks Syste Bonds, Series 1955, Interest and Sinking Fund: Ten Cents per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) va uat ion of property. (c) ( 10 For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1960, Interest and Sinking Fund: Twenty -Eight Cents ( 28 ) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.*ta vs cation of property. (d) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1962, Interest and Sinking Fund: Ten Cents ( ,t,) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuaa,ton of property.. (e) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1964, Interest and Sinking Fund: Six Cents ( 6 ) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. For the maintenance and support of the general government (General Fund): Twenty -Six Cents ( 261 ) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) va aTion of property. Section 2. There is hereby levied and there shall be collected from :every :° person, firm, association or corporation pursuing any occupation taxed by the general laws of the State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to one-hlf of the State Occupation Tax, which said taxes shall be paid annually in advance except where otherwise provided by State Law, in which event same shall be paid as is provided by State Law, which occupation taxes are, hereby appropriated to the maintenance of the general municipal government (General Fund). Section 3. All monies collected under this ordinance are hereby appropriated and set apart for the purposes indi- cated, and the City Secretary shall keep accounts so as to readily and distinctly show the amount collected, the amount expended and the amount on hnd at anytime, in each of said funds, and it is hereby made the duty of the Tax Assessor - Collector, and every person collecting money for the City of Kennedale, to deliver to the City -Secretary -Treasurer, at the time of depositing any monies, a statement showing to what fund such deposit should be made and from what source received. All receipts for the City not specifically apportioned by this ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City, unless the City Council shall by resolution or ordinance hereafter otherwise direct.
