O60-10KENNEDALE ORDINANCE NO. 60-10 AN ORDINANCE LEVYING TAXES FOR THE USE AND SUPPORT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS, AND PROVIDING FOR WATERWORKS SYSTEM BOND AND INTEREST RETIRE- NENT FUND, SERIES 1952, AND THE WATERWORKS SYSTEM BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1955, AND THE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND AND INTEREST RETIREMENT FUND, SERIES 1960, FOR THE TAX YEAR 1960; APPORTIONING EACH LEVY FOR THE SPECIFIC PURPOSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: Section One. That there is hereby levied and there shall be collected for the use and support of the municipal government of the City of Kennedale, Texas, and to provide an interest and sinking fund for the retirement of City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1952, and City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1955, and City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1960, upon all property, real, personal and mixed, within the cor- porate limits of the said City of Kennedale, Texas, subject to taxation, a tax of One Dollar ($1.00) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property for the year 1960, said tax being so levied and apportioned for the purposes herein set forth: (a) For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1952, Interest and Sinking Fund: Thirty -One Cents (310) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (b) For the City of Kennedale Waterworks System Bonds, Series 1955, Interest and Sinking Fund: Fourteen Cents (1 0) per One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (c) For the City of Kennedale General Obligation Bonds, Series 1960, Interest and Sinking Fund: Forty -Five Cents (450) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. (d) For the maintenance and support of the general government (General Fund): Ten Cents (100) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) valuation of property. Section Two. There is hereby levied and there shall be collected from every person, firm, association or corporation pursuing any occupation taxed by the general laws of the State of Texas, an annual occupation tax equal in each instance to one-half of the State Occupation Tax, which said taxes shall be paid annually in advance except where otherwise provided by State Law, in which event same shall be paid as is provided by State Law, a-ehell a i -FFprevided- by-..,F,sta e Lau; which occupation taxes are hereby appropriated to the maintenance of the General Municipal Government (General Fund).. Section Three. All monies collected under this ordinance are hereby appropriated and set apart for the purposes indicated, and the City Secretary shall keep accounts so as to readily and distincly show the amount collected, the amount expended and the amount on hand at anytime, in each of said funds, and it is hereby made the duty of the Tax Assessor - Collector and every person collecting money for the City of Kennedale, to deliver to the City Secretary -Treasurer, at the time of depositing any monies, a statement showing to what fund such deposit should be made and from what source received. All receipts for the City not specifically appor- tioned by this ordinance are hereby made payable to the General Fund of the City, unless the City Council shall by resolution or ordinance hereafter otherwise direct. Section Four. This ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its passage. 1960. PASSED AND APPROVED this 6th day of October, A.D.
