O57-04ORDINANCE NO. 57-4 AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING AND A XING TERRITORY ADJACENT AND CONTIGUOUS TO THE CiTf OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: PROVIDING THAT SUCH AREA BE MADE A PART OF SAID CITY AND THE OWNERS AND INHABITANTS THEREOF SHALL BE ENTITLED TO ALL THE PRIVILEGES OF OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS AND CITIZENS OF SAID CITY AND SHALL BE BOUND BY THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES NOW IN EFFECT AND TO BE HEREAFTER ADOPTED; FURTHER PROVIDING FOR AMENDING AND CORRECTING THE OFFICIAL BOUNDARIES OF SAID CITY AS HERETOFORE ADOPTED, AND FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Article 974-g, Vernon's Texas Civil Statutes of 1925, as amended, Walter Russell Turner and wife, Eunice Inez Turner, being all of the owners of real property hereinafter described, have made application as by law provided to the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, requesting annexation to said City of the area situated in the County of Tarrant, State of Texas, described as follows, to wit: SITUATED in Tarrant County, Texas, and being a tract of land out of the W. E. Haltom survey, and being the east portion of a tract conveyed to W. R Turner by warranty deed recorded in Vol. Pages' =^ -. of the Deed Records of Tarrant Count Texas, and more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the said Turner tract, a point in the center line of -"the Kennedale-Sublett Road, which stands East 1,391.6 ft. from the Southwest corner of the said W. E. - Ha ltom survey; THENCE West 600 ft. along the center line of said Kennedale-Sublett Road; THENCE North 0 degrees 04 minutes East, at 25 ft. an iron pin in the North line of the said road, in all 943%2 ft. to the North line of said Turner tract; THENCE South 89 degrees 35 minutes East 600 ft. along the said North line to the Northeast corner of the said Turner tract; THENCE South 0 degrees 04 minutes West along the East line of the said Turner tract, at 913.8 ft. an iron pin in the North line of said road, and in all 938.8 ft. to the point of beginning, and containing 12.96 acres of land, of which 0.34 acres is in use and occupancy as the Kennedale-Sub- lett Road and is herein dedicated for public use. WHEREAS, the City Council, as provided by law, at a regular meeting on this the 3rd day of May, 1957, duly and legally considered the said petition, hearing the arguments for and against such annexation, and it appearing to the City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, that all sta- tutory requirements in connection with said application and petition have been fulfilled, and that all said area, on which less than three qualified voters reside, is adjacent and contiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the said City of Kennedale, and is not more than one-half mile in width, all of which the Council so finds; now, there- fore: BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDA LE, TEXAS: Section 1. That the property hereinabove described lying adjacent and contiguous to the present existing boundaries and limits of the City of Kennedale, Texas, be, and the same is hereby annexed and brought within the corporate limits and made an integral part of the said City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 2. That the owners and inhabitants of the area herein annexed be, and they are hereby declared entitled to all the rights and privileges of other property owners and citizens of said City of Kennedale, and shall henceforth be bound by all the acts and ordinances of said City of Kennedale which are now in full force and effect and which may be hereafter adopted. Section 3. That -the official map and boundaries of the City of Kennedale, Texas, as heretofore adopted and amended, be correct- ed and amended; so as to include the above described area and territory as a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas. Section 4. That this ordinance shall become effective from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, duly attested by the City Secretary. ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of May, A.D. 1957. City Secretary, City «f enneda e, Texas PETITION FOR ANNEXATION TO THE HONORABLE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENNEDALE, TEXAS: We, Walter Russell Turner and wife, Eunice Inez Turner, the undersigned owners of the hereinafter described property, hereby petition the Mayor and City Council of the City of Kennedale, Texas, to institute all proceedings and to adopt all ordinances and do all things necessary to annex said hereinafter described land and territory and make the same a part of the City of Kennedale, Texas, said property being described by metes and bounds as follows, to wit: SITUATED in Tarrant County, Texas, and being a tract of land out of the W. E. Haltom survey, and being the east portion of a tract conveyed to W.
